8 Benefits of Virtual Interior Design & Why It Might Be Right for You

If you’re reading this post, it’s probably because you’re wondering if you should explore virtual design or not. I’m going to be a little biased here, ok? My answer is yes, you should! I recently wrote about what virtual design is and what you need to know about it. You go check that out and come back here, ok? For those who read it already, good!

Exclusively for this blog post, I wanted to share with you what my virtual interior designers’ colleagues have to say about it.

I personally love and agree with what they all had to say about it. Hopefully, that will help you make a step towards virtual interior design services.

1. Location Freedom

Whether you live in a busy city or remote location, hiring an e-designer will eliminate any location restrictions in the world. Whether the project is big or small e-designers offer flexibility for your project.

2. Expert Guidance

Maybe you, or someone you know, is handy. You can put things together and hang them on the walls – but having the skills to do it doesn’t always mean you know how to do it the way it will look it’s very best. An e-designer will help you plan your space, and will give you the vision that you can use to bring to life, so that your finished product looks and feels gorgeous and cohesive

3. Professional Sourcing

Sourcing furniture for your home can be overwhelming. With online shopping at its peak, too many options can leave you feeling confused. That’s where E-Design fits in. We banish ‘source-overwhelm’ by doing all the hard work for you but for a fraction of the cost of hiring a full-service interior designer. It’s a perfect solution for those who live a fast-paced life and don’t have the time to scour the internet or shops.

4. Simplified Process and Collaboration

Clients often want the help and know they need the help of a professional when it comes to their interior decorating. However, they sometimes worry that the process will be taken over. That their vision will be long lost, and they will end up with something else as a result. With virtual design, there is a close collaboration that occurs.

The client/designer relationship is much tighter as they must work together. The client can participate in the process thus learning more about each step too. Most importantly, the client must be happy with the result as they are the ones executing it. To get that space all, put together, the client must have approved of each aspect.

5. Virtual Tours & Photorealistic Plans

Hire an eDesigner to see the overall style of your room upfront! There won’t be any second guessing as to what your space will look like. An eDesigner can draw out a style concept for your room. Often these images are in a 3D photorealistic format and can include 360-degree virtual tours. Having this clear guide saves you money so that you don’t aimlessly purchase items and must figure out later if they fit within the scheme. eDesigners can also give you a shopping list with links to these products, so that you can create this look at your own pace.

6. Virtual Staging

I had a designer that finished a gorgeous renovation and was unable to get pics with furniture. I virtually staged the entire home (it was in his design style) so that he could use the pics on his website, etc. I mean we even changed out all the windows/coverings. It was to his exact taste. You can use virtual staging to stage to your liking.

7. Time Efficient

eDesign opens the exclusivity of interior design & makes our expertise way more available for way more clients which is fabulous. We avoid travel time which stretches budgets & is environmentally friendly as well as time efficient. The world has changed due to the pandemic & the ability to work remotely on eDesign with so many more clients is an unexpected silver lining.

8. Design on Your Terms

My top 2 reasons are: 1.) Design On Your Terms – edesign allows the client to work through their design plans on a much more flexible schedule. Busy Moms everywhere are loving that they can review plans, collaborate with their designer, and purchase everything they need for a room refresh… all after the kids are in bed. 2.) Time Is Money – we know our clients are busy and their time is valuable.

Our expertise allows them to have a well-designed space with perfectly curated pieces that they didn’t have to spend hours poring over websites or wandering aimlessly through furniture stores only to be left emptied handed, worse, with buyer’s remorse. Working with a virtual designer allows you to have your cake and eat it, too. At completion, you have a beautiful space and didn’t have to sacrifice precious time with your family to get it!
